Your Speech Pathologist will record baseline data on your abilities at this initial assessment in order to be able to track change as you progress with your Speech Pathology program.

Establishing your goals

Following your Speech Pathology assessment you and your Speech Pathologist together, will determine your rehab goals. It is important that you are working towards goals that are important to you!

Your individual speech pathology program
An individualised Speech Pathology program will be devised for you to work towards achieving your rehab goals. Your program will specific to your problems and may be oro-motor exercises, articulation practice, comprehension retraining.

At each session your Speech Pathologist will be taking note of your progress and will upgrade your program as improvement is made. In the event that progress anticipated is not being achieved your Speech Pathologist will review your program and make changes to try and get the right results, it is no use persevering with something if improvement is not being seen.
